Angel and Emma met in college through a friend. Angel tagged along to what was supposed to be a quick trip to Mall of America! It turned into wandering the entire mall and plans for a sushi date the next night, becoming inseparable ever since! These babes chose to elope in Sedona over having a big local wedding in Minnesota for the most incredible reasons. They said: “We did not want pressure or stress to please or impress other people. We wanted to be able to focus on one another, smile, relax, and enjoy our day. It was so special to have a small ceremony with our family. We loved how we accommodated the best of both worlds and did something just us two, as well!” But – let’s hear more of their story before we dive into their incredible Sedona elopement images.

Her Stolen Ring!

Several years after meeting Emma, Angel dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. Here’s their story: “Angel had come home from work one night so upset. Long story short, he ended up telling me that he had purchased me an engagement ring and planned to propose, but the ring was stolen. It was a crazy few weeks with so many ups and downs so we decided we needed a get away. We booked a long weekend in California where we could meet up with his family and relax on the beach a bit. We spent the entire day walking around Santa Monica. Towards the end of the night, Angel brought me near Santa Monica Pier and popped the big question! Of course I said YES! I was so surprised! I never expected an engagement, especially since the ring he intended to propose with was gone. Luckily, we were able to get the original ring that Angel put so much time and effort into customizing was found and safely returned, just in time for our wedding day!”

Their Vision

Emma and Angel then decided that they wanted to be surrounded by nature for when they eloped! They said: “There’s nothing more breathtaking or timeless than letting nature do its work and we wanted to take advantage of it! Getting married in front of a beautiful green tree and plants reflected our Minnesota side, while our vow exchange at Cathedral Rock showed the most amazing Arizona views. Our story touches base in so many different places and it was extra special that our scenery showed the best that Sedona had to offer!” 

The Best Moments

Their day was absolutely incredible, with their favorite moments including having a friend officiate their ceremony, spending time with their family, laughing and smiling; giving them memories that will last forever. Emma and Angel also loved “Hiking up the mountain hand in hand and finding a secluded area to take the most amazing images and have special time just the two of us!” 

Past and Present Adventures

Throughout all of their adventures together, they’ve loved becoming parents, buying a puppy, buying their house, graduating college and traveling together. They both told me: “The best adventures have been the small, completely unexpected ones. Learning each other’s habits, quirks, likes, and dislikes has been our biggest, most exciting, and most difficult adventure. We focus on growing together and as individuals everyday, and adapting to our growth and changes has been the best!”
