Alexis, Stephen and I woke up well before sunrise to hike out to this insanely epic view. We had to make a last minute change of plans due to wildfires at their original location, so we pivoted to put together their Washington State sunrise elopement at Mt Baker in just a few short weeks. Mt Baker showed up in the best and most grand of ways and gave these two the best day ever. Here’s their story:
“We met through friends during high school and hung out with the same crowd in high school. We were very close friends from the end of high school through college. After four years at the University of Alabama, we realized we were more than just friends and decided to take our relationship to the next level.”
Alexis and Stephen said: “We are not huge center of attention people and standing in front of a bunch of people just didn’t seem very ‘us’. Over the last few years, we’ve gone on trips to take hikes in beautiful places and it’s something we really look forward to every year. So, we decided that a great way to start our marriage would be to go on a trip to a new and beautiful place.”
“We really loved saying our vows as the sun peaked over the mountains. It was just the perfect setting to say what meant the most to us about the other person and our relationship.”
