This Phoenix desert wedding is beyond breathtaking, full of so many beautiful moments of embracing this new season of weddings through COVID-19. Sienna and James have been SUCH an amazing couple to get to know over the past year, through their engagement session in Sedona, changes to their wedding day and many other incredible moments. They shared with me all of their thoughts about their day after having to switch things around from their original plan and DANG is it sweet.
Sienna: It was completely NOT what we expected AT ALL. But, it was the most beautiful day. James and I made the tough decision to postpone our 165 person reception to early 2021 and get married in an intimate ceremony on our original date. We ended up getting married in front of 30 of our closest family and friends and it was perfect. The silver lining was now that we didn’t have a big reception to attend, James and I were able to spend some time together to have an AMAZING bridal adventure session. We were reminded that these were the moments that truly mattered in this life.
James: It was amazing! With everything going on right now, we were pleasantly surprised that we could have one day go perfectly smooth. The first half of the day was mostly preparing for the ceremony, getting last minute things together and trying not to forget anything. Then came the ceremony which was perfect, Sienna looked beautiful, the church was gorgeous and our family and friends were so happy to be with us. We had a small party afterwards with everyone and later we went to drive out to the Superstition Mountains for some amazing pictures with the world’s best photographer. It was without a doubt a perfect day and one that I will always remember and cherish.
Sienna: The bridal adventure session that Allison set us up with was truly a breathtaking experience that I wouldn’t change for the world! Also, we also weren’t originally going to have cake but my mom surprised us with one later that night in front of immediate family. Cutting the cake with my husband was SO fun!
James: Definitely when I first saw Sienna walking down the aisle, all the emotions and nerves seemed to build up to that moment and I was so excited and happy that it was finally here. The other moment was when we got to the hotel and started to relax and just looked at each other and said I love you as husband and wife.
Sienna: Right now, enjoying our honeymoon to Greece is on the ‘must do’ set, for now, next summer! We would also like to travel to St. Louis again to catch another Cardinal’s game since James is a big fan! Eventually, we want to make it to every MLB stadium to watch a baseball game.
James: We want to see a baseball game in all of the MLB stadiums, it’ll take a bit of traveling but that’s part of the fun!
These babes adapted so quickly and gracefully from their original wedding plans, after they were affected by the pandemic that we’ve all be experiencing. A silver lining to their plans needing to change? I get to celebrate with them AGAIN, this January!!
Cheers!
