Kim and Ryan got married just down the street from their adorable, urban loft in Lafayette Square. I spent the morning with Kim and her girls as they slowly got ready together, drank mimosas and enjoyed the down time leading up to the start of Kim and Ryan’s wedding. Kim loved that their ceremony was such a short ways away from where they live! Their romantic, modern-chic wedding started with Kim and her Mom riding in a carriage together to the ceremony site at Lafayette Park, where she would walk down the aisle towards Ryan. Once she arrived at the ceremony, Kim waked down the aisle with her Mom as Ryan held back tears, seeing her for the first time in her fluffy, fairytale princess gown. Little did he know, Kim had TWO dress looks for their day! After going to 3 dress boutiques and trying on many dresses, she choose two different looks at Clarice’s Bridal for the best of both worlds! Her main dress was heavily beaded with pearls, dainty straps and a deep v design boasting a Great Gatsby vibe. For the ceremony, Kim chose to wear a layered, fluffy skirt OVER her main dress, giving her the princess feel she was looking for at her ceremony and saving the Gatsby dress for the reception! After their beautiful ceremony (complete with a string quartet!), they traveled less than 2 miles over to Moulin Events for their reception making it a ‘wonderful day in the neighborhood’! Kim and Ryan said that the aesthetic of Moulin matched the look they were going for and that the reception planner was fantastic! She told me that ‘“the level expertise the planner at the venue had was unmatched by other venues we were considering. It all feel in to place perfectly.” They danced the night away at their live-band reception and ended the night breaking it down on the dance floor in matching track suits, personalized with the name ‘Siebers’ on the back! Kim said that “the generosity of our families and friends who contributed to the wedding in many different ways was so memorable. It takes a village, and the planning journey reiterated how strong and caring our village is! We are very fortunate.”
