After a dreamy proposal on a trip in Telluride, these Ohio-based cuties flew out to the desert to celebrate their Royal Palm Scottsdale wedding day! Jackie and Chris said: “When we decided on Arizona (as our wedding location), we planned a trip this past March to look at venues. We looked at a ton and they were all beautiful/unique in their own way and it was really hard to choose. The last night we were there, a friend of Chris’s family recommended we try T.Cook’s at the Royal Palms for dinner. We mentioned to the server we were looking at wedding venues and he was able to find one of the coordinators who took us on a night tour and let us view an actual wedding taking place, which allowed us to visualize having our wedding.”

Inspiration from Past Generations

Get this: Jackie said: “The inspiration/vision for our wedding day came from looking at old pictures of my grandma and mother’s wedding and also allowing the natural beauty of the Royal Palms to help us with color schemes!”. It’s SO sweet that they drew inspiration for their wedding, from both her Mom and Grandma’s big days, several years prior. Jackie’s Grandma even gave her jewelry to wear that her husband had bought for her on one of their first fights as a married couple.

Most Memorable Moment

When I asked Chris and Jackie what the most memorable part of their wedding day was, this was their response: “…the “first look”. Being able to see each other all dressed up, before the celebration/party. Just an intimate and private time that we will always cherish. It was a moment where we could just take a breath, look at each other, talk to each other, and not take for granted how lucky we are to be in this exact moment together. It was awesome.”

The new Mr. and Mrs. Brickner are planning an epic European honeymoon in 2020 – with plans to visit Germany, Italy and Greece! I already know they’re going to have such a rad time, because let me tell ya – these guys sure know how to have a good time. Don’t believe?
