Man, let me tell you – Brie and Daniel are awesome. I met up with them n Springdale, Utah to take some styled Zion National Park elopement images of the two of them and it was such an incredible night. Here’s their story:

How They Met:

These cuties met while Daniel was competing on the ASU gymnastics team while Brie’s dad was the coach! Brie said “What better way to start a relationship than with a college athlete and coach’s daughter, right?” She said that her Dad (Daniel’s coach) definitely didn’t think it was a good idea for them to be in a relationship at the time, so they became friends and began walking through life together.

The Proposal:

Daniel told me all about how he later proposed to Brie: “Before we even started dating, I had known about Brie’s dream of being proposed to in front of a waterfall. Fast forward through the seemingly unlikely series of events that brought us together, and we found ourselves in front of the “Lower Falls” in Yellowstone National Park in the middle of a two week long motorcycle trip. We hiked down to the incredible scenic overlook where I got down on one knee and asked to marry the love of my life.”

What They Love:

Brie and Daniel said that they “love discovering new delicious things for our taste buds…coffee, food, beer, wine, ice cream. If this comes along with finding a rad, new place in town, that’s even better. We love game nights, spending time with people, and road trips…car or motorcycle, depending on the weather!”

They told me about their (actual) wedding day and MAN did it sound amazing. Here’s how it went down: “We had looked around at so many venues, but none seemed to capture the essence of us and our relationship. We began to get frustrated. Then one of my friends reminded me how we had gone to some cabins for a friend’s birthday and I had looked out of the front porch and told them how much I would love to marry Daniel out in the pine trees, in front of the cabins. Long story short, that’s exactly what we ended up doing. Daniel took the reigns and made it happen. He, with the help of so many of our friends and family, transformed the area in the middle of the woods, into a stunning wedding venue. I didn’t even have to do anything! They took care of it all and surprised me with the most spectacular thing I’ve ever seen! We chose to do it on September 29, 2018 in Greer, Arizona with 100 of our friends and family members who have walked alongside us through our individual lives, shaping us into who we are, as well as our life as a couple. We made it into a full weekend event, instead of just an evening. We absolutely love our people and we wanted it to be a weekend of celebrating friendship, love, and memories, after all, we wouldn’t have been there without every single one of them and we wanted to thank them for that. We rented out a group of cabins and almost everyone stayed there. We wanted our day to be very simple and stress free. And it was just that. Everything didn’t go perfectly as planned, which is why it turned out perfect and we soaked in every second of it. We ate tacos, drank beer, and danced the night away in the middle of the woods, which was a dream come true. I just remember feeling so overwhelmed by, not only the love and admiration from my now-husband, but all the love that was poured out onto us during that day from all our friends. We somehow planned all of this in 35 days, and on a beautiful crisp September evening, we started the rest of our lives together.”

They plan to eventually get a dog, have a family and travel some more. One of Daniel’s favorite past memories to date was when they spent their first night in their house together with just an air mattress, a bottle of wine, pizza, the fireplace and each other! Guys, I’m telling you – Brie and Daniel are the real deal.
